The frame is designed as a tribute to German planetary scientist Kepler's vision. Kepler saw geometric proportions as the key to understanding the harmony of the cosmos. Three separate parts of the same walnut tree are used to create three slightly different colours and grains of wood, a totally stunning design feature. The ring is made from chromed steel and degrees are added using a laser.

The map, updated by the team of cartographers and designers at Zoffoli in Italy, boasts stunning colour and map details. The warm apricot coloured ocean blends perfectly with the hardwood pillars that cradle the world. The detail on the map is extensive, showing country names in their spoken language, as well as in English. For example Deutschland and Germany are mentioned.

The frame is made from 3 different parts of the same walnut tree. The chromed steel meridian with lasered degrees allows a 360° exploration of the sphere which rotates on two axes.
