The Icons is an interactive globe that represents the some of the most advanced smart globe technology on the market today. This fun kids globe is both educational and entertaining, containing geographic, economic & general world information that is truly useful and important for ages 5 and up. All information is updatable via the Internet to keep your globe up to date in a constantly changing world.

The globe ball is a full 13 inch (34cm) model with animals, planes, famous buildings and much more on its surface as well as plenty of place names. The Icons globe has everything you could want in a kids globe. But here is the difference - touch any spot with the wireless pen and the Icons comes to life with words and music!

The globe features 4 main features that are unlocked by touching the pen to the pictures on the globe's surface:

• People and places
• Fairytales (Amazing!!!)
• Trivia
• National anthems

Simply turn on the Interactive Pen (normal value £100) and touch one of the 4 circular images on the globes surface. Each corresponds to one of the above categories. If you touch "People and places" you can then touch any place or any of the pictures on the globe's surface and the pen will tell you about it. 

Fairytales for example is a unique and incredible feature that sets this globe apart from any other. Did you know that countries each have their own unique fairtales passed on from generation to generation. Not only does the pen read these to you, but it narrates them like a audiobook.

The pen is USB rechargeable and includes a headphone jack for quiet play. 

The globe's surface is hand-laid, making the colours brighter and the writing clearer. The meridian is a hard, rigid plastic and the base is light hardwood. When illuminated the colours come alive, showing the advantage of a hand-laid map. This is the most visually stunning kids globe available.

A new and even more educational world map. 

The Columbus interactive map measures 125 x 75cm and is fully compatible with the Columbus interactive pen. 

On one side, a completely political map is shown in the same colouring as a Duo globe and on the other, a satellite map is shown. 

The pen works with each side of the map in exactly the same way as it does one of the Columbus globes.

Even without the pen, the map is extraordinarily detailed and made from thick, anti-tear paper.
